Celtic defender teases imminent return on Instagram

Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has continued to tease fans with his imminent return. The 28-year-old has been out of contention for around 10 months due to a knee injury but was recently pictured back involved with first team training after a brutal rehabilitation process.

Jullien took to Instagram to tease that his return was imminent, with a photo of one of his best moments in a Celtic shirt – the late winner versus Lazio.

The defender returned to France to begin his rehabilitation from a knee injury suffered at the end of 2020. In the 3-0 win over Dundee United, the French defender rushed towards the goal and slid in to make a goal-saving clearance but was left grounded when his knee collided with the base of the post. The horror smash saw the central defender stretchered off. After that, in the midst of a painful recovery, he was embroiled in the Dubai-COVID affair after testing positive. He was a big miss for spells last year and we can only hope that his imminent return will be a boost to the team.

However, his place in the Starting XI may not be as secure as first thought. The emergence of a partnership between new signings Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers is beginning to take shape, looking stronger with each passing game.
