Celtic delight as Tom Rogic signs 5 year deal to stay for 10IAR

Tom Rogic has signed a new deal at Celtic keeping him at the club until 2023, and it is one year longer than The Celtic Star was suggesting would happen last week!

The Australian had just one year remaining on his previous deal and supporters became anxious that his summer exploits in Russia could catch the attention from suitors. However, the silky midfielder has signalled his intent to remain a Celtic player on the quest for 10 in a row.

Rogic, a favourite amongst, signed from Central Coast Mariners in 2013 and has established himself as one of the best attacking threats for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The news will give the team a huge boost going into Saturday’s Scottish Cup final, where Rogic stole the show with his injury time winner confirming a treble.

“I feel great to have signed a new contract. I’m very proud and honoured to be able to commit my future to the club,” Tom said.

“I enjoy playing regular football here. I’m working under a top class manager and to play my club football here is something that’s very special to me so I couldn’t be happier to have signed a new contract.

“The support here is very special and sometimes it’s hard to describe. To feel so loved and wanted by the fans is all a player can really ask for.

“It’s my job and the players’ job to repay that. Now that my future’s sorted I can focus completely on playing football and giving everything I have for the club, as I have done for the past five years.”

Brilliant news, Celtic well done! Brendan has his Number 10!
