Celtic drawn against holders St Johnstone in League Cup Semi Final

Celtic have been drawn against St Johnstone in the Semi Finals of the League Cup. The winners of this game will face the winners of Hibernian versus Rangers.

The games will be played on the 20th/21st of November with a view to the sides looking to book their place in the showpiece Final on the 19th of December.

Celtic beat Raith Rovers 3-0 earlier this evening to book their place in the Semi-Finals at Hampden. It is Ange’s first trip to Hampden and he will know the significance of the game.

Goals from Jota, Liel Abada and David Turnbull sealed the progression for the Celts but hopefully the manager will be able to welcome back important players like McGregor, Kyogo, Jullien, Forrest and Taylor for the semi final.

Celtic will focus on themselves but they will know Callum Davidson’s Saints are an extremely tough opposition. The Perth club won a Double last year and will be eyeing another Final.

Fans will, meanwhile, be looking out to see any news on tickets and allocations but that is something that will be considered further down the line.
