CELTIC are expecting a firm offer for Bolingoli from AS Roma, according to the Daily Record. The 25-year-old is the subject of interest from the Italian top division as well as Turkey and his native Belgium; although the report says that Roma will follow up their interest in the left back with a bid for the player.
Serie A side are keen on signing the Belgian left back who has become an outcast at Celtic Park following his Spain jaunt last month. The actions of the left back resulted in two games being postponed by the Scottish Government and footballing authorities.
The report also claimed that Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir were also keen on brining the unwanted left back to their side as Neil Lennon looks to get him off the club’s books. Celtic are likely to want to get any fee that they can for Bolingoli, who signed from Rapid Vienna last summer for £2.5m. His indiscretions left Celtic without two matches preparation ahead of the match with Ferencvaros.
Roma are in the market for a new left back having sold Kolarov to Inter Milan. Whilst Neil Lennon is still chasing potential left back targets to give Greg Taylor competition for a starting berth at Celtic. However, as a back up to this, signing a left footed central defender could allow for Moi Elyounoussi to play on the left with Jeremie Frimpong on the right.
