Celtic facing competition from Turkish sides for Mohamed Magdy Afsha

Mohamed Magdy Afsha is attracting interest from Celtic, according to his agent. Whether in an attempt to drum up interest in the Al Ahly attacker for a move or a new contract, Afsha’s agent told KingFUT that Celtic, Besiktas and Galatasaray are competing to sign the Egypt Internationalist.

The 25-year-old joined Al Ahly from Pyramids FC in 2019. He has scored 12 goals and assisted 18 in 68 appearances and his agent claims that Celtic are interested in bringing him to Glasgow. The player is renowned as one of Al Ahly’s brightest stars, scoring a late winner in the 2019/20 CAF Champions League final.

Celtic are in the middle of a colossal rebuilding job and it is likely that there will be more links with a number of players as the club look to effectively revamp the playing squad and footballing structure.

The club are likely to start with Tom Rogic, Olivier Ntcham, Ryan Christie and David Turnbull under a new manager in the summer and that is before any decisions are made on who comes to the club and who leaves. Although one thing is for certain, there will be an enormous amount of upheaval as Celtic look to reclaim the league title.
