Celtic FC Foundation adds contactless option for Saturday’s annual bucket collection

Celtic FC Foundation Annual Bucket Collection will take place ahead of the joyous return to Scottish Premiership action on Saturday afternoon at Celtic Park and, in a sign of the times, for the first time there will be a contactless option, which makes sense given that Celtic Park is now cashless (or is that Ibrox, boom boom!!).

The Foundation is ‘humbly encouraging supporters’ to get behind the annual Christmas Appeal Bucket Collection, which will take place in the lead-up to the game against Motherwell at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

The event will see 130 volunteers situated around the stadium from 1.30pm right up until kick-off and the Celtic FC Foundation will of course gratefully accept cash donations on the day using the old fashioned method of sticking some cash into the buckets.

However, as many supporters now opt not to carry cash to matches, the Foundation are also offering a contactless donation option at their new Celtic FC Foundation branded gazebos and flags situated around the ground.

Proceeds raised will as always support the Celtic FC Foundation 2023 Christmas Appeal, which aims to bring comfort and light up the lives of many who would otherwise struggle over the festive period. This includes local families facing poverty, so they can enjoy the type of Christmas that many of us take for granted, as well as pensioners, women and children in refuge, the homeless community, refugees and a host of others experiencing hardship.

Together, we can Light Up Someone’s Christmas this festive season and as always the Celtic support will do our bit to make a difference.  It’s the right thing to do and it’s what Celtic supporters do best.
