Celtic full back makes surprise Leicester City appearance

Celtic defender Jefferey Schlupp has been pictured at Leicester City’s ground as part of the celebrations of Jamie Vardy’s career with The Foxes. The veteran hitman will leave Leicester at the end of the season but netted his 200th goal for the club in 500 appearances in the 2-0 win over Ipswich.

The full back, who picked up the Scottish Premiership trophy on Saturday after coming off the bench in the draw against St Mirren, was pictured at the King Power Stadium on Sunday. The 33-year-old was on hand to celebrate the achievements of Vardy.

In a clip shared online, Schlupp can be seen as part of the guard of honour for Vardy, along with ex-colleagues.

It has been a successful weekend for Schlupp as his parent club, Crystal Palace, won the FA Cup while Celtic collected Premiership title. The defender will be hoping to add another piece of silverware next weekend as Celtic face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final.

Schlupp will likely be a free agent in the summer as his Crystal Palace deal ends. The Scottish Champions will welcome Kieran Tierney back to the club upon completion of his Arsenal contract this summer. Greg Taylor’s future at the club remains in doubt and it is expected that he will leave the club after a successful six year stay with the Hoops.
