Celtic in the League Cup: Draw details and TV channel for Last 16 ties

Celtic will enter the League Cup in the next round once the Group Stages of the Viaplay Cup concludes this weekend. The Scottish League Cup holders (as well as Scottish Champions and Scottish Cup holders) will enter the hat for the last 16 games.

When is the Draw?

The draw will take place following the game between Dundee and Inverness CT at Dens Park on Sunday 30th July.

Where to Watch

The game will be broadcast on Viaplay Sports 1 and the draw will follow, offering fans the ability to watch the teams come out of the hat.

Who is in the hat?

Teams will be confirmed by Sunday; however, there will be a number of teams entering the draw. Along with Celtic, other Premiership sides that have qualified for Europe will enter the hat – namely Rangers, Hearts, Aberdeen and Hibernian.

When will games be played?

The games will be scheduled on the weekend of August 19/20.

Rodgers won three League Cups in a row during his first spell in charge and he set the standard with regards to the club’s attitude towards the trophy, which has resulted in an astonishing six cup wins in seven years.
