Celtic interested in Bristol City winger Niclas Eliasson

Celtic are currently suffering from a lack of depth on the wings. One of their strongest positions at the start of the season, departures and injuries have meant that they are looking to bring in some reinforcements before the end of the January transfer window.

The club let Scott Sinclair leave for Preston North End after the Englishman managed just 7 appearances in the first half of the season. Lewis Morgan has also agreed terms with David Beckham’s Inter Miami although the move has stalled for some reason till now. And Marian Shved does not look to be in Neil Lennon’s plans despite Celtic fans repeatedly calling for his inclusion in the squad.

Thus, it should come as no surprise if the Hoops do decide to sign a new winger before the deadline. And that man could be Bristol City’s Niclas Eliasson. The Swede has been in brilliant form this season, scoring thrice and providing 10 assists.

And according to Correire Dello Sport, Celtic are interested in the 24-year-old. They will face some steep competition though with Lazio and Villarreal also in the race for his signature.
