This is pretty much what most fans will dream of – European football after Christmas and a winnable tie in a lovely part of the world.
It’s important not to underestimate the threat that Copenhagen could pose, but Celtic go into this tie as the seeded team and they have to fancy their chances of coming through this if they have any ambitions to go deep into the competition.

Traditionally Celtic don’t do well away from home in Europe, but positive results in France and Italy in the group stages show they know how to get the job done, so there will be plenty of hope about a good result tonight.
The team has been announced, and the inclusion of Jonny Hayes was always going to be a talking point:

He’s one of those players that it might be hard to appreciate at times, but you know he will rarely let you down. He’s even come up with some big contributions at times, but it seems that fan opinion is split over him starting tonight:
Everytime people complain about hayes he always plays a blinder

The weekly Hayes haters are out, hope he has a balling game like he did in the first group game against Rennes, Frimpong running at them will give them the fear, Keats do this Celtic, get the job done, make the 2nd leg a party at Paradise. Back the Bhoys, don’t write them off 🍀

The return of Frimpong is a major boost, and it could work out perfectly for Hayes. Frimpong is so good going forward that Copenhagen will need to focus on that side, so that could allow Hayes to creep forward and have some space.
