Celtic Loan Player Booked for ‘Excessive Celebrating’

Celtic’s Jonathan Afolabi has been booked today for ‘excessive celebrating’ while in action for Dunfermline today. The Pars beat runaway league leaders Dundee United 2-0 at East End Park.

The former Southampton attacker joined the Pars on a loan until the end of the season and gave his loan side something to celebrate after scoring the second in their win this afternoon.

Afolabi went to Dunfermline with a view to getting some game time and forcing his way into Neil Lennon’s reckoning for next season. A goal against a strong United side will give him enormous confidence.

Afolabi enjoyed his goal enough to booked for excessive celebrating.
