On paper the career path of Liam Burt is a fascinating one, having bounced between Celtic and the Rangers as a youth team player and a pro.
He started his youth career at Celtic before moving to Ibrox in 2014, before returning to Celtic at the start of last season.
He’s always looked promising at youth level for club and country, but his only meaningful first team action came via loan spells at Alloa and Dumbarton.

He’s now 21 and has reached that point in his career where he needs to play, so it’s not a major surprise to hear that he’s leaving the club.
As reported by Glasgow Live, there was some confusion over his future after many thought he had left the club, before a social media post emerged which showed him at the training ground.
It seems that’s now been cleared up after they quote The Daily Record in saying that Celtic have rejected the option to extend his deal and his exit has now been confirmed.
They go on to say that he’s now expected to move to England and his former manager Mark Warburton is still thought to be a big fan, so a move to QPR now looks very likely.
For now it sounds like he’s still weighing up his next move, but let’s hope he goes somewhere that allows him to actually play.
