Celtic monitoring Croatian Internationalist as Rodgers eyes statement signing

Dominik Livakovic is reportedly a summer target for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers eyes a statement signing. The Scottish Champions have already signed Odin Thiago Holm and Marco Tilio with a deal nearing for both Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Yang Hyun-Jun.

However, the manager arrived back at the club and rumours swirled that he would be significantly backed to make Celtic a force in European football.

According to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, Celtic are looking to bring in a goalkeeper.

Livakovic was a key figure in the Croatia side that finished third at the Qatar World Cup and has been linked with a number of moves across Europe. You’d expect that given he has one year remaining on his deal that Dinamo Zagreb would be keen to cash in on a prized asset.

Josip Juranovic will be a very poignant reminder for Livakovic as he sees that a move to Celtic can bolster his profile further. Fenerbahce had a bid knocked out for Livakovic whilst Villarreal and Fiorentina have been cited as interested parties.
