Celtic move Player of the Year Awards, 2024 to OVO Hydro

Celtic this morning announced that the club’s Player of the Year Awards at the end of the season will not be held in a plush hotel as is usually the case but instead will take place at one of Glasgow’s premier venues, the OVO Hydro on Sunday 12 May 2024 with the event being open to Celtic season ticket holders.

This will be the 20th year Celtic have staged a Player of the Year awards and the first that the fans will be actively involved, with ticket prices starting at £24 and available now from the official Celtic FC website.

The club’s announcement is shown below…

Celtic’s 20th POTY Ceremony at the OVO Hydro: Pre-sale tickets available now to STH

As the Club prepare for the 20th staging of the Celtic FC Player of the Year awards ceremony in 2024, we are delighted to announce that the occasion will be bigger and better than ever when the current heroes in the Hoops come together with legends for an extra special event at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

This special edition of the Celtic Player of the Year Awards event will allow over 11,000 supporters to enjoy the annual ceremony in person for the first time, in the company of past and present Celtic stars, with pre-sale tickets on sale now, exclusively to Season Ticket holders.

And we are pleased to announce that a contribution of proceeds from the event will be going to support the work of Celtic FC Foundation, the charitable arm of Celtic Football Club.

This gathering of the greats promises a stellar night of entertainment and Celtic highlights from across the last 20 years, a period in the club’s history when the club has enjoyed domestic dominance.

The unique ceremony will feature appearances from many of Celtic’s previous Player of the Year awards winners along with famous faces and special guests to celebrate their achievements in the Hoops and to recognise the performances and achievements of the current Celtic teams on what promises to be another fantastic occasion for Glasgow’s green and white.

Last year’s ceremony saw Kyogo take home a treble, winning Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Top Goalscorer awards, while Caitlin Hayes completed a memorable double of Women’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the year – just some of the fantastic honours to be announced at the glittering event. Now you can be there to cheer the winners in 2024!

Don’t miss the chance to be there alongside Celtic FC’s first team, Women’s team, B team and Academy team players to enjoy Celtic’s 2024 Player of the Year Awards in person with tickets for this special celebration on pre-sale now, priced from £24*, exclusively to Season Ticket holders.
