Is it time to give Kyogo a rest on Sunday? Should Oh lead the line or should Brendan Rodgers play both strikers as he plans ahead for the Stadio Olimpico?
Kyogo has by his own standards been a bit off so far this season, he has however chipped in with six goals two of them coming in Europe so he’s hardly been a disappointment. But could a rest be on the cards for our Japanese talisman on Sunday to give a chance for him to recharge his batteries before yet another international break?
I think it would do him the world of good as he’s played a high percentage of games not just this season but this calendar year. Big Oh is chomping at the bit for a start and he of course scored against St Mirren and was unlucky to have an effort ruled out against Ross County. Another start would do him the world of good as he’s not had the chance to get a run of games together.
So could Sunday be another chance for the South Korean to lead the line? I think it would be a good idea and it would benefit both him and Kyogo.
Or maybe it’s time for the manager to look at playing both of his strikers and in doing so experiment for the vital Champions League game in Rome against Lazio later this month where both Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma are suspended.
Is it time to trial a 3-5-2 system ahead of the visit to The Stadio Olimpico where Oh and Kyogo are both likely to start and Celtic need to win by two goals?
Of course it’s all up to one man and that is Brendan Rodgers. We will see come Sunday what he’s thinking about all of this.
