The Hoops biggest ever win in their Scottish Premier League history. The league rebranded in 2013, just before anyone smart comments are made about Ange Postecoglou’s side thumping Dundee United 9-0 at Tannadice two years ago. Celtic’s victory eclipsed their 8-1 win at Dunfermline in 2006. It was also the Celts biggest margin of victory over Aberdeen in the club’s history. The previous record stood at 8-0 against the Dons. Anthony Stokes and Gary Hooper both netted hat-tricks. Joe Ledley, a Josh Magennis own-goal and Paddy McCourt’s late penalty also rounded up the scoreline. In addition, both Paul Hartley who denied a certain goal for Celtic at 0-0 and Thomas Rogne who denied a clear goal scoring opportunity were sent off by referee Alan Muir in the first half.

An 8-0 Celtic win on the next page…
