Celtic have now agreed a deal with Norwich City to bring in on loan Irish international striker Adam Idah. The short term deal, which does NOT include an option to buy, will run until the end for the season.
The player will undergo a medical in London today and all going well he will be Brendan Rodgers second signing of the January transfer window.
Meanwhile Bologna striker Sydney van Hooijdonk is travelling to England today to complete his loan move to Norwich, replacing Idah in their squad. Celtic apparently were offered the son of former Celtic striker Pierre van Hooijdonk but didn’t take the opportunity further.
And in other news Reo Hatate has picked up yet another injury, this time playing for Japan in the Asian Cup and former Celtic midfielder Barry Robson was today sacked as Aberdeen manager with Celtic due at Pittodrie on Saturday lunchtime.
As per other reports, Adam Idah’s loan move to #CelticFC is progressing as expected.
It’s understood there is NO buy option in the deal. Just a straight loan for the remainder of the season. #NCFC
