Celtic will enter the final day of the transfer window looking to do deals, both incoming and outgoing. Ange Postecoglou’s side were beaten at Ibrox on Sunday but it is likely that the game featured a final Celtic appearance for Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie. The pair are expected to move to England tomorrow with Celtic hoping to seal a double deal for Filipe Jota and Georgios Giakoumakis.
According to The Daily Record, Celtic will target a central defender on loan as well as the attacking pair. Stephen Welsh and Carl Starfelt started the defeat at Ibrox but it was clear that the side were missing some depth in the position with Christopher Jullien still sidelined with injury.
However, Sky Sports News’ Anthony Joseph has said that this ‘could be it’ for Celtic unless anything presents itself in the final 24 hours of the window.
Celtic are braced for Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard leaving tomorrow. They have replacements lined up in Georgios Giakoumakis and Filipe Jota – that’s the priority before the transfer deadline. That could be it, though, unless there’s a shift in the market tomorrow.

If Christie departs, Celtic should look to make a move for St Johnstone’s Ali McCann as they look to add some energy to the middle of the park. The club need a couple new signings on top of the Greek Internationalist and the Portuguese starlet to replace the quality of Edouard and Christie, it would be unwise for the club to let the opportunity slip and not solidify in this window.
Well if Anthony Joseph said it, it must be true! I’ll wait for the club to speak.
