Celtic have been drawn against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Semi Final. The holders, who eliminated Livingston yesterday, will be going to retain their trophy this season.
In the other draw, Hearts will face Rangers with the winners competing in the showpiece final on May 25th 2024.
The games will be played on the weekend of April 20/21 2024 at Hampden Park.
In order to get to this stage, Brendan Rodgers’ side had to beat Buckie Thistle, St Mirren and then David Martindale’s Livi. A hat-trick from Daizen Amanda and an injury time goal from Kyogo ensured victory.
Aberdeen defeated Kilmarnock 3-1 at Pittodrie in Neil Warnock’s final game during a bizarre cameo in Scottish Football.
Then, Rangers won 2-0 against Hibs at Easter Road with the hosts being reduced to nine men.
Now, the four teams will be scheduling their trips to Hampden next month. The Dons, who are managerless, will be hoping to have a new manager in the door for the meeting in April with Neil Lennon one of the names linked to the gig.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will have fond memories of this fixture at Hampden, having beaten the Dons in his first season to win the League Cup and Scottish Cup as well as a 2018 League Cup final win over the Pittodrie side.
