Celtic TV pick up Hearts duo being embarrassed by Arne Engels

Celtic TV have picked up a fairly brilliant moment in Celtic’s 2-0 win over Hearts. The Scottish Champions beat the visitors from Edinburgh thanks to goals from Arne Engels and Luke McCowan as Brendan Rodgers’ side prepared for the UEFA Champions League opener with another win.

After a lengthy VAR delay, referee Chris Steven penalised Penrice for a handball in the box, resulting in Celtic having a chance to score from the spot. The Celtic record signing was able to embarrass both Hearts skipper Lawrence Shankland and defender Craig Halkett.

Shankland, who bizarrely won POTY last season, was poor in the game and was substituted. Notwithstanding his own shortcomings on the pitch, Shankland tried to get into the 21-year-old’s head before he stepped up to take the penalty.

The Hearts central defender made a jibe regarding the transfer fee that Celtic paid to Augsburg for the Belgian Internationalist.

Although, both Shankland and Halkett were left embarrased by Engels as he cooly slotted the ball beyond Craig Gordon. This is the first goal for the Celts and it was a good penalty, showing the quality from the midfielder.
