Team News

Celtic have been dealt a promising update with regards to the fitness of stand-in skipper Cameron Carter-Vickers. The USA Internationalist missed the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu after picking up a knock against Livingston last Sunday. However, at the media conference ahead of today’s game, Ange confirmed that the defender had trained and was in contention.

The manager must decide whether to reunite Carter-Vickers with Carl Starfelt or whether he continues with Moritz Jenz. Joe Hart will start in nets.

Ange has often switched the full-backs with two games in a week and we may see Alexandro Bernabei and Tony Ralston return to the fold.

In midfield, you’d expect Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate to play but the manager may look at either David Turnbull or Aaron Mooy to complete the central three.

You’d imagine Jota would start on the left, Giorgos Giakoumakis through the middle and James Forrest on the right. Of course, Ange often likes to shuffle his front three and Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Sead Haksabanovic and Liel Abada will all believe they’ve merited a start.

However Ange Postecoglou made some comments yesterday about the risk of players picking up a knock just before the World Cup which could mean them missing out so expect to see the likes of Juranovic and Maeda sitting the next three games out on the bench as Ange does his bit to make sure they get to Qatar fully fit.

Kick Off Time

The game will kick off at 3pm (Celtic Park time).

Where to Watch

The game will be available to Celtic TV subscribers outside Britain and Ireland.
