Celtic v Livingston: Predicted XI, Maeda and Bernardo to start, Nawrocki chance

Celtic face Livingston this afternoon in the Cinch Premiership. The Scottish Champions go into the game on the back of two defeats (away to Killie and home to Hearts) where atrocious performances have irked the support.

Now, the Green Brigade/Bhoys are back and the focus is on finding form ahead of next weekend’s Glasgow Derby. David Martindale’s Livi are in town and should be fearing the worst with a revved up Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers will be expecting a response from his players, especially after Rangers closed the gap to two points and you’d expect Paolo Bernardo and Daizen Maeda to start.

Joe Hart will start in goals.

The Englishman will be joined by a back four comprising Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor. We will likely see Maik Nawrocki at some stage this afternoon but given the last two results, the manager will want the game killed off before making changes.

In midfield, Matt O’Riley will play alongside skipper Callum McGregor and you’d expect the third midfield position to go to Paolo Bernardo.

In attack, Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda will support Kyogo Furuhashi – who has just one goal in twelve. Celtic need their talisman to find his best form ahead of the Glasgow Derby.

Predicted XI: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Bernardo; Maeda, Kyogo, Palma.
