Team’s Up – Bernardo and Maeda start for Celtic

Brendan Rodgers has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Livingston. The Scottish Champions were beaten on their last two league outings and will look to rectify that when David Martindale’s struggling Livi arrive in Glasgow’s East End.

The game against Hearts will have probably frozen some players out for failing to take their opportunity – Mikey Johnston and David Turnbull, namely, with Daizen Maeda and Paolo Bernardo coming in.

In goals, Englishman Joe Hart will start.

The Englishman will be joined by a back four comprising Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor.

In midfield, Matt O’Riley will play alongside skipper Callum McGregor and the third midfield position goes to Paolo Bernardo.

In attack, Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda will support Kyogo Furuhashi – who has just one goal in twelve. Celtic need their talisman to find his best form ahead of the Glasgow Derby.

Celtic XI: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Bernardo; Maeda, Kyogo, Palma.

Subs: Bain, Yang, Turnbull, Oh, Kwon, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh, M Johnston
