Celtic v Livingston – Taylor’s presser, team train at Lennoxtown

Celtic face Livingston this afternoon as the SPFL Premiership league leaders look to regain their three-point lead at the top of the table. Rangers beat Aberdeen to close the gap but Celtic’s vastly improved goal difference means that Ange Postecoglou’s team will remain top regardless of what happens at the Tony Macaroni Stadium.

Celtic are yet to win in West Lothian since Livi were promoted back in 2018 with Brendan Rodgers, Neil Lennon and Postecoglou failing to buck that trend. The Australian, who has been a revelation since arriving from Japan, will be keen to buck that trend today.

Celtic trained at Lennoxtown as the manager put the players through their paces ahead of a vital game in the title race. It was good to see players like Giorgos Giakoumakis back training, along with Mikey Johnston. Postecoglou may rely on both of them at some point as he looks to spark further attacking flair to his front line.

Greg Taylor spoke ahead of the game at the media conference on Friday, identifying the team’s approach to the game, whilst also speaking about the win over St Mirren.
