Celtic v Livingston – Team News, Kick Off Time, Match Officials and Where to Watch

Livingston are the visitors to Celtic Park this evening and are likely to provide competitive opposition under the lights for Ange Postecoglou’s side looking for the three points to maintain the outstanding momentum towards the second successive title for the Celtic manager.

Celtic won the rearranged fixture 2-1 at December and on the previous visit to Paradise, David Martindale’s side secured a point in a goalless draw. The Livingston boss has a game-plan that Celtic have struggled against more at home than in the recent matches in West Lothian were Celtic have scored three on each of the last two trips to the Tony Macaroni to collect all six points.

Expect a home debut from the bench for new signing Oh.

Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership this evening it’s third v second at Tynecastle but it’s fair to say that Hearts under Robbie Neilson have a pretty awful record against the latest Ibrox club. Maybe that will change this evening but you have plenty of reason to be cynical when it comes to Hearts taking anything from theRangers.

That doesn’t matter one jot as long as Celtic take care of our own business at Celtic Park this evening.

Team News

Anthony Ralston is back training with the squad but will be given another week before he’s considered for the match day squad while Ben Siegrist has had an injury set-back and is unavailable this evening.

Ange Postecoglou gave this team news update at yesterday’s media conference: “Nothing’s really changed. Tony Ralston is still out but he is back with the group. We will give him another week to get up to speed. Benjamin Siegrist had a little bit of a setback with a calf complaint and he won’t be available for tomorrow but everybody else got through the last game well.”

Predicted Team

We got 10/11 on Sunday so let’s see if we can go one better tonight. God loves a trier to our predicted starting XI for Celtic this evening is as follows:

Match Officials

Nick Walsh, who was on VAR duties at Ibrox at the weekend in the ‘controversial’ match against St Johnstone (the Saints red-card has been rescinded this morning, strangely enough and the player will now be available to face Celtic on Sunday), has the whistle at Celtic Park this evening and deserves a warm welcome for all he has done to keep the race for the league title alive.

The Assistant Referees this evening are Daniel McFarlane and Steven Traynor and the Fourth Official is Stewart Luke. The VAR Dark Arts operator is Colin Steven and he is assisted by Alan Mulvanny.

Kick-off Time

The Celtic v Livingston match has a 7.45pm kick-off time (Celtic Park Time).

Where to Watch

Tonight’s game is a sell-out but you can watch via PPV if you are in Britain or Ireland (full details HERE and also see Celtic’s social media posts below). The match will also be shown live on Celtic TV for subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland.
