Celtic v Midtjylland- team news, kick off time and where to watch

Celtic face Danish side Midtjylland in The Champions League Second Qualifying Round tonight. Ange Postecoglou will take the team for the first time into a competitive fixture as 9000 supporters will make their way to Paradise.

Team News

Kris Ajer will not be involved as the Norwegian defender nears a move to Brentford. The 23-year-old’s defensive partner Chris Jullien is also missing through a knee injury sustained last December. The defence looks particularly threadbare but Carl Starfelt will be arriving soon as Postecoglou looks for defensive reinforcements.

Postecoglou will not be able to call upon Mikey Johnston or Karamoko Dembele with the youthful wide pair being injured in the pre-season friendly against Bristol City. However, new signing Liel Abada will be involved in the squad if the club registered him as expected yesterday. James Forrest could be involved in some capacity after returning to training.

Olivier Ntcham is said to have been left out of the squad but there is hope that Ryan Christie and other Celtic stars will be involved despite not featuring at the weekend.

Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti will be vying to start the game. The striking ranks are bolstered by Leigh Griffiths, with the 30-year-old returning to training. Kyogo Yuruhashi is not in the country and as a result, will not be involved.

Kick Off Time

The game will kick-off at 7.45pm (Celtic Park Time).

Where to Watch

The game will be available to Celtic Season Ticket Holders via the Pass to Paradise but the game will also be shown on Premier Sports with coverage commencing at 7.15pm.

Celtic found out yesterday that if they progress to the Third Qualifying Round then we will face PSV or Galatasaray.
