Celtic v RB Leipzig: ‘It’s got to be Perfect’, Hartson tells Celtic

JOHN HARTSON will be in his usual place with the BT Sport team at Celtic Park tomorrow evening for the must win Europa League match against RB Leipzig. And the former Celtic Star reckons that it will take a superb performance to get the better of the German visitors but is confident that his old team can do just that.

“Listen, if Celtic are ever going to win a game in Europe, it’ll come at Celtic Park. And how many times have they defied the odds in terms of winning a game, a big game?

“I feel Thursday night is a game that they’re going to have to take to Leipzig, it’s almost going to have to be a perfect performance.

“The crowd will be there as it is always is, that 12th man that they’ve got at home. We’ve all witnessed it.

“Start strong, defend well, not take any risks at the back, not make any individual errors. Craig Gordon is going to have a few good saves then you’re looking for your record signing Odsonne Edouard to come up trumps.

“I think Leipzig are beatable, I really do.They’re not Barcelona, they’re not Bayern Munich, or PSG or Man City. Over there the game was almost in the balance up until they scored that first goal.

‘It’s one Celtic can win, but I think it has to be a perfect performance,”Hartson told the press yesterday.
