Celtic v RB Leipzig: Predicted XI for UCL clash

Celtic face RB Leipzig this evening in the UEFA Champions League. Within the hour, Brendan Rodgers will have named his team for Matchday 4 of Europe’s top competition.

Brendan will likely continue with the same team that started the 6-0 win over Aberdeen at the weekend, which sets up a League Cup Final against Rangers.

Kasper Schmeichel will start in goals. The Dane kept a clean sheet in the draw in Bergamo.

A back four will likely consist of Alex Valle, Auston Trusty, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston. The back four were impressive at the weekend.

In midfield, Callum McGregor is expected to start alongside Arne Engels and Reo Hatate. The Japanese midfielder was excellent at the weekend and has really picked up his performance level with Luke McCowan and Paulo Bernardo attempting to play their way into the team.

In attack, Kyogo will likely to start through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn on the flanks. Daizen scored a hat-trick at the weekend while his attacking colleagues impressed through the game.
