Celtic v St Johnstone – Callum Davidson names his team for today’s visitors

Callum Davidson has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Cinch Premiership leaders Celtic. The Perth side arrive enjoying an impressive run of form, albeit they’re still 11th in the league table. However, they’ll be looking to do themselves (& Rangers) a favour by attempting to hold out for a point.

St Johnstone: 1. Clark 2. Brown 6. Gordon 4. McCart 24. Booth 29. Hallberg 8. Davidson 21. Crawford 22. Hendry 14. Middleton 19. Rooney

On the bench: Parish, Manon, Cleary, Butterfield, Gilmour, Macpherson, May, Bair & Sang.

Andrew Dallas is the referee. The game will kick off at 3pm and Celtic will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points. The win at a Ibrox has Celtic just six games away from the league title and Ange Will know that he cannot let the good work of last weekend be undone with dropped points today.

Celtic meanwhile have named an unchanged team of Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; McGregor, Hatate, Rogic; Maeda, Giakoumakis, Jota.

It is a huge afternoon for Celtic today as they will look to put pressure on Giovanni Van Bronkhorst’s team, who play at St Mirren tomorrow lunchtime.
