Celtic v St Mirren: Five facts ahead of Premiership clash

Celtic face St Mirren this afternoon as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to bounce back from a poor midweek display at Ibrox. The Scottish Champions will look to consolidate their 11 point lead at the top of the Premiership table with a win over the visitors from Paisley.

Thanks to One Football, we have five interesting match facts.

1. Celtic have won each of their last six meetings with St. Mirren in all competitions, last winning seven in a row over the Buddies in March 2017.

2. St. Mirren have won just one of their last 36 away games at Celtic in all competitions (D3 L32), a 2-1 victory in January 2021.

3. Celtic have lost just one of their last 72 home league matches (W61 D10), winning 17 of their last 19 (D2) since a 0-2 defeat to Hearts in December 2023.

4. Only Dundee (1) have kept fewer clean sheets in the Scottish Premiership this season than St. Mirren (2), who have recorded just one shutout in their last 20 league games (0-0 v Ross County in November).

5. Celtic are looking to win six successive home league games while also keeping a clean sheet each time for the first time since February 2019.
