Team’s Up – Trusty and McCowan start for Celtic

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Premiership clash with St Mirren. The Scottish Champions will be looking to bounce back from their Glasgow Derby defeat with a win over the visitors from Paisley.

Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals. The Dane will be looking for a quieter afternoon after a busy midweek.

In defence, Auston Trusty starts alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers. Alistair Johnston starts at right back with Greg Taylor continuing at left back.

Liam Scales drops to the bench after a difficult display at Ibrox.

Callum McGregor starts in the middle with Arne Engels and Luke McCowan. Reo Hatate and Paulo Bernardo drop to the bench.

In attack, Adam Idah starts with Daizen Maeda on the left and Nicolas Kühn on the right.

Subs: Sinisalo, Scales, Palma, Kyogo, Valle, Yang, Bernardo, Hatate, Ralston.

Celtic can go 13 points clear with a win after Rangers dropped points at Easter Road earlier today. The Ibrox side were 2-0 up before Hibs pulled these moves back into the game and then pulled themselves level with minutes remaining.
