Celtic v St Mirren – McLean confirmed as referee, Dallas on VAR

Celtic face St Mirren tomorrow evening as the Scottish Champions get back to Cinch Premiership duty. Ange Postecoglou’s side beat Kilmarnock in the League Cup Semi-Final at Hampden on Saturday and now will face Stephen Robinson’s Saints. The Paisley side are the only side to have beaten Ange’s team this season, securing a 2-0 triumph back in September.

Celtic will be keen to enact revenge for the defeat while St Mirren will be buoyed by the result as they look for another scalp. The SFA have confirmed the referee appointments for the game with Steven McLean handed the whistle with Andrew Dallas on VAR.

Referee – Steven McLean

Assistant Referees – Calum Spence and Graham McNeillie

Fourth Official – Iain Snedden

VAR – Andrew Dallas

AVAR – Sean Carr

Celtic have been on the receiving end of some poor calls from VAR since its implementation at Tynecastle in October. Whilst some have been subjective calls, others have been blatant to supporters and the call for consistency has made its way from the stands into the club.

While the Scottish Champions play, theRangers travel to Ayrshire to face Kilmarnock in the later kick-off time of 8pm.
