Celtic v St Mirren – Reminder that tickets are available via General Sale

Celtic take on St Mirren in the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup at 5.30pm this Saturday evening. The club are looking to make it a treble of trophies this year after boss, Ange Postecoglou missed out on this very piece of silverware last year in a disappointing defeat at Hampden Park to our city rivals.

The big man will no doubt be eager to rectify that for the supporters this time around and everyone can play their part in getting this team to the final once again at the national stadium. With a great turnout in our Fourth Round tie versus Greenock Morton, everyone involved with the club will be hoping for more of the same.

It wasn’t like a match that was of no consequence against Dougie Imrie’s side in the last round and the Hoops supporters saw to that. There was a fantastic atmosphere that day in January, despite the horrid Scottish weather conditions and even the away fans played there part – bringing a couple of thousand bodies with them too.

Saturday might be much the same in terms of the weather at least, whilst St Mirren might not bring as many supporters to Parkhead as the lower division side, they will represent a significantly higher threat than that of Greenock Morton. John Kennedy spoke of remaining focussed and disciplined in cup football and you can read all about that here on The Celtic Star too.

Tickets for this match are priced as follows if anyone wants to still grab one:

Adult: £25

Kid: £12

Under-16: £17

65+ – £17

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
