Celtic play St Mirren this afternoon as Ange Postecoglou looks to make it six wins in a row as manager. The Buddies were 2-1 winners at Celtic Park last time out in January. However, since falling to Hearts in the opening game of the season, Ange has managed to win five games on the bounce. His opposite number, Jim Goodwin, is self isolating after testing positive for Coronavirus but that won’t mean Postecoglou or his team will take their foot off the pedal as they look to continue the free-scoring form that has excited the support so far.
Team News
Ryan Christie returns to the fold after missing the last two games with a slight knock suffered against Jablonec. The versatile midfielder has appeared to buy into the Postecoglou way of working and there are hopes that he will agree a new deal with the club before the end of the season.
James McCarthy will be hoping to increase his game time ahead of potential roles in the manager‘s team in the Netherlands and then at Ibrox.
Leigh Griffiths could be in line for an appearance on the bench after missing out on the squad for the win over AZ Alkmaar. With Odsonne Edouard seemingly nearing a move away from the club, Postecoglou may look at offering Griffiths and Ajeti the chance to prove their worth in the game over the Paisley side.
Christopher Jullien, Karamoko Dembele and Mikey Johnston all remain sidelined with long term injuries.
Kick Off Time
The game will kick off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time).
Where to watch
The game will be taken in by a near to capacity Celtic crowd but for those unable to watch, the game will be shown on the Pass to Paradise.
