Celtic wish Josip Juranovic good luck in World Cup Semi-final

Celtic have once again wished our Bhoy, Josip Juranovic the best of luck as he gets set to fight for a place in the World Cup Final of 2022. The dynamic full-back and his country take on the magical Lionel Messi and Argentina in tonight’s Semi-final and it promises to be a cracker.

Both sides made it to the Semis under dramatic circumstances; each won a penalty shootout in very tight affairs. Argentina threw away a 2-0 lead in the last 10-15 minutes in an ill-tempered the against the Netherlands. It eventually went to penalties and Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez was the her. Similarly, Croatia scored a late equaliser in extra-time versus favourites Brazil, then knocked Neymar and his teammates out over spot-kicks.

Josip was sensational during that game and Vinicus Junior had to be subbed off due to not having any luck up against the right-back. He bombed forward the full match and left a crowd of Brazil players in his wake each time he did it. All eyes are now on him from elsewhere, as he’s been linked with big-money moves to the English Premier League and La Liga.

But tonight, he has the chance to do something quite unbelievable for a Celtic player: reach a World Cup Final. They have a wonderful blend of youth and experience Croatia, and Argentina with Messi at his best will be a handful. I cannot wait for kick-off personally and hope the best team on the night wins.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
