Celtic’s China Crisis Averted as Brendan knocked back big money move

Brendan Rodgers has cleared up the rumours surrounding interest in him from China by admitting that he REJECTED a job offer in the summer to move to Asia to concentrate on his job at Celtic.

BBC Scotland have a story this evening saying that Rodgers has advised them that “there was an offer” during the summer but has stated that he is focused on managing Celtic.

“My concentration was with Celtic,” the Double Treble winning manager stated.

“At the end of the season, what was important was to get away, recover from a really tough season and prepare for the next season,” Brendan said.

“Nothing made me think otherwise.”

There will no doubt be more information emerging on this story over the next few days.

Chris Sutton speaking on BT Sport this evening stated that he believes that Rodgers is unhappy at Celtic and would take a job down south if it comes up. But the manager yesterday stated that he was happy at Celtic and planned to see out his contract and he has REJECTED a big money offer from China to stay at Celtic…
