Leaked Team News – Celtic start with two strikers

BRENDAN RODGERS will field both of his strikers this evening at McDiarmid Park as Celtic look to end their goal drought.

Kristoffer Ajer has recovered from his virus and will return to the heart of the defence alongside Dedryck Boyata – together they have been rock solid this season with no goals against when they have been the partners in defence.

James Forrest and Callum McGregor return to the starting eleven after being rested at Rugby Park on Sunday but there is no place in the starting side for Tom Rogic.

Olivier Ntcham returns after suspension to play alongside Scott Brown in the middle of the park but it’s up front where the real excitement is. Brendan Rodgers plays both Griffiths and Edouard – as The Celtic Star and plenty of others called for last week.

There will be the usual strong bench with the likes of Hendry Rogic, Morgan, Mulumbu, Sinclair and Christie all feature alongside rested Craig Gordon.

The Celtic team against St Johnstone, barring last minutes changes as happened on Sunday, will be…

Scott Bain

Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Kristoffer Ajer, Kieran Tierney

James Forrest, Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham, Callum McGregor

Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths

Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
