Celtic’s latest injury concern as Luis Palma to miss St Johnstone clash

Celtic have been dealt the latest injury blow with Luis Palma set to miss Saturday’s game against St Johnstone. The Scottish Champions were without the tricky winger for the 4-2 win over Livingston that ensured progression to the Scottish Cup Semi-Finals.

According to Sun Sport, the Honduran attacker is a doubt for the game after picking up an injury ahead of the weekend’s Scottish Cup action. The 24-year-old has started from the bench most recently but his quality is there for all to see.

Since arriving from Greek side Aris, Palma has made 30 appearances and scored nine goals and assisted ten times. Whilst some of his performances have frustrated supporters, it is clear that there is a talented player there that needs time to develop under Rodgers.

Hopefully, it is nothing serious and the winger is back in contention after the international break with the two games against Livi and Rangers coming up. Rodgers will need to use the squad depth to best St Johnstone this weekend then we will hopefully have CCV, CalMac and Palma back.
