Celtic’s Scottish Cup fixture selected for TV

Celtic’s Third Round Scottish Cup clash with either Arbroath or Falkirk will be broadcasted on Premier Sports as John Kennedy hopes to make it five-in-a-row in Scotland’s premier cup competition. The game will be play the winners of the clash between Arbroath and Falkirk on April 3/4th, who play 23 March.

The Scottish Cup was sidelined by the Scottish Government and SFA’s decision to postpone the lower two leagues as well as the competition. Celtic beat Hearts on penalties back in December to complete a Quadruple Treble in the re-arranged Scottish Cup Final. The Sun are reporting that the game will be shown on Premier Sports.

Three rounds will be played on April weekends, with the final delayed until 22 May – which is normally around the time of the competition. However, the re-arranged EURO 2021 competition meant that UEFA had requested to take control of the National Stadium.

Celtic have had some incredible moments in The Scottish Cup in recent years, with Tom Rogic’s winner in the Invincible Treble, Edouard’s late brace versus Hearts and then Kris Ajer smashing the ball beyond Craig Gordon to seal the Quadruple Treble.

Hopefully Celtic can salvage some success out of this season by winning another Scottish Cup.
