Celtic’s TikTok King of Kings Tribute: Henrik Larsson to ABBA’s ‘Angel Eyes’

Henrik Larsson to ABBA’s ‘Angel Eyes’on TikTok is now a thing thanks to the young team at Celtic TV, well, poor old Paul Cuddihy the editor of the Celtic View, like many of us, will have no actual idea at all what Tiktok is anyway…

So the younger hipsters in the Celtic media department posted a video on the social media platform, joining a trend of remembering former partners to the song ‘Angel Eyes” by ABBA.

The young team at Celtic decided to dedicate the video to the icon, Henrik Larsson.

The Video opens with the phrase “Forget about him, he left 18 years ago”, which is then followed by a short montage of Henrik Larsson celebrating goals he scored in a Celtic jersey, with the inclusion of one of his most iconic goals. Celtic used Larsson’s spectacular chip goal, which he scored against Rangers in the 2000 Glasgow Derby, where Celtic won 6-2. ABBA’s ‘Angel Eyes’ is heard playing over the montage.

The lyrics heard are..

‘Sometimes when I’m lonely, I sit and think about him
And it hurts to remember all the good times
When I thought I could never live without him’

This wee clip reminds us of the sheer joy we had watching the King of Kings in action and can you actually believe it has been 18 years since Henrik left Paradise? He really was a Celtic Super Trouper…the best thing to come out of Sweden since Abba really…
