Christie Earns SPFL TOTW Place as Barnes Returns to Dugout

RYAN CHRISTIE has been included in the SPFL Team of the Week following his display in the 1-1 draw at Easter Road on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was also called up to Steve Clarke’s latest Scotland squad due to his sparking form which has seen him net eleven times in all competitions as well as providing five assists.

Well done to Ryan!

Meanwhile, ex-Celtic manager John Barnes is set to return to management as reported in the Daily Record. The Liverpool legend is being lined up as Bangor City boss, 10 years after he left his last job as Tranmere Rovers boss.

Barnes is infamously remembered for an ill-fated stint as Head Coach under Kenny Dalglish at Director of Football during General Manager Jock Brown’s tenure.

Barnes’ Celtic career ended with a Scottish Cup defeat to Inverness Caley Thistle, giving way to one of Scottish football’s biggest upsets. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of the headline.
