Christopher Jullien Refuses To Rule Out Move Away From Celtic Park

Celtic’s sidelined centre half, Christopher Jullien, has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 in recent weeks. The former Toulouse captain has been linked with a summer transfer to Marseille, where Olivier Ntcham is currently enduring, rather than enjoying, a loan spell at present.

The French media spoke with Jullien about the possibilities of a move and his response was somewhat alarming. It appears that the defender has pushed the door open on a Paradise exit.

When asked on beIN Sports about a potential switch to Marseille, he said: “Go to OM? We don’t know what the future holds. But I don’t have to come back to France.”

The 27-year-old was also quizzed on his international future, adding: “It’s far off, there are so many good players.”

Jullien has been sidelined since he collided with the post against Dundee United in September last year. Suffering a serious knee ligament injury, the Frenchman is set to be out of action for another few months yet. As such, the chance to depart Celtic in summer seems limited, but the players comments are certainly alarming.

We have to learn from this seasons disaster that players who want to be elsewhere have to be let go as when it comes to the fight their hearts aren’t in it. Christie and ntcham are prime examples
