Confirmed – Celtic send promising youngster on loan to Dunfermline

KERR MCINROY has joined Dunfermline on a season long loan from Celtic in the hunt for first team football. The 20-year-old, who plays as a defensive midfielder, central defender and left back, will be hoping to showcase his talents in the Scottish Championship.

McInroy turned out in pre-season as a left back and now his departure means thaT Greg Taylor is the only player in that position at the club. This means that the manager and recruitment team need to address this in a timely manner.

The Championship is expected to begin on 17 October with the Pars hosting Inverness CT, which will be a grudge match after their war of words back in April/May regarding the end of the league season.

Elsewhere, two Celtic players were included in the SPFL Team of the Week. Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie were named in the best XI from the weekend after their impressive performances. Both players found the net and were involved with providing other goals.
