Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda has thanked the Celtic support for his new song. Bhoys Celtic used The Champs classic ‘Tequila’ to serenade the unique Japanese striker and it has certainly caught on!

Maeda scored the opener as Celtic won 2-0 against Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.
Taking on Twitter/X, Maeda thanked the club for the ‘wonderful song’, which sounded great through the PA system.

As the tannoy plays the Maeda song after he scores the Celtic opener against Hibs in the Scottish Cup quarter -final this afternoon, the speedy samurai inadvertently boots Reo Hatate on the ankle.
Fortunately, Alan Muir wasn’t on VAR duties so Daizen avoided a red card. pic.twitter.com/gnM5UnPohH

Maeda looks as if he will be a certainty for the Player of the Year accolade in Scotland given his phenomenal performances. The attacker has scored 27 goals but will be looking to add more to that tally before the end of the campaign.

Celtic supporters will be hoping to hear the song next weekend as Brendan’s side host theRangers at Celtic Park.
