Deadline Day – First loan move of the day confirmed

CALVIN MILLER has competed his season long loan to Dundee. The 20 year old last week signed a contract extension at Celtic and indicated then that the manager wanted to send him out to gain first team experience.

St Johnstone had been interested in the midfielder who filled in as cover for Kieran Tierney at left back last season, but his preferred position is further up the park.

Scott Allan is NOT getting a move to Hibs. Negotiations were always likely to be complicated in the fall-out in the John McGinn stand-off where Celtic lost out to Aston Villa.

Incidentally, the young centre half from Le Harve has rejected a move to Villa Park.

Neil Lennon has now admitted that he won’t be signing Scott Allan in this transfer window,

The 26-year-old spent the second part of last season on loan at the Easter Road club and was a huge fans favourite.

Earlier today Lennon cleared up the Hibs position on this one.

“Scott Allan was never on. There’s nothing in that at all. There never was.

“I’m well covered in that position – we’re not looking in that area at the minute.”

The former Celtic manager also admitted that Efe Ambrose could be leaving the club with Hibs having received a bid from a Turkish club. If a suitable replacement can be found the bold Eye will be leaving Scotland after an eventful stay!

Calvin Miller’s new contract at Celtic keeps him at the club until 2020.
