Donegal Danny & The Celtic Support Raise £100 For Child Patient Supplies

Donegal born Irish Folk singer, Danny Kelly, now lives in Glasgow. It’s a story familiar with vast swathes of the Celtic support and the Glasgow Irish community, whose heritage can more often than not be traced to ‘the forgotten county’.

Performing a live Facebook gig on Saturday 18 April, through the Glasgow Irish Bands And Gigs page, then on Sunday 19 April, via the Glasgow Celtic Champions page, Danny sang a range of Irish folk, political and traditional Celtic FC songs. The gigs were in aid of the Patient Supplies Drive for Bournemouth & Poole hospitals, with the funds from these videos being utilised to purchase items for those on the children’s wards.

Viewed by Celtic fans in Ireland, America, England and Scotland; Danny managed to raise £100 for the cause in under two hours!

His efforts are hugely appreciated and can be seen in the video below:

Danny is a regular performer on the Glasgow Irish scene and features in many Celtic supporter’s match day entertainment. He also performs in his native Ireland from time to time and is part of an Irish folk band, Tir Chonaill, in Glasgow.
