European Recognition for Celtic Talisman

Odsonne Edouard has been named on the UEFA ‘fifty for the future’ ones to watch for 2020. The striker was named alongside Man Utd’s Mason Greenwood and Chelsea’s Reece James.

Edouard signed for Celtic in 2018 after a successful loan spell for a fee of £9m and has won 7 trophies so far. French Eddy is currently the top goalscorer in Scotland with 13 goals and 5 assists and his place on the list is testament to the progress he has made with Celtic and France’s U21s that he makes the list

On Edouard’s inclusion, UEFA gave a brief overview behind his selection.

“Strong, athletic and deceptively quick.

“The ex-Paris trainee links play well and is ice-cool in front of goal.

“A U-21 star for France, he ended 2019 top scorer in Scotland.”

With 11 goals in 6 games for Les Bleus, Edouard will be pushing for a place in the French National Team as well as earning the attention of top teams. Earlier, it was reported that Manchester United were interested in signing the 21-year-old.

Edouard is an integral part of the Celtic team and you say the influence that a fully fit Edouard brings to Celtic. With that said, the club need to sign another striker in the summer.
