Frank Lampard has named his Everton side to face Celtic in the Sydney Super Cup, which kicks off at 3.45am Celtic Park Time. In goals for the Premier League side is Begovic who also captains the side. Former Ibrox player Patterson plays at right back and the rest of the starting eleven are Tarkowski, Mina, Keane, Mykolenko, Doucoure, Price, Gray, Gordon and Maupay.
On the bench for Everton today are Lonergan, Crellin, Colgate, Welch, Vinagre, Quirk. Millsm McNeil and Cannon.
Looking forward to seeing the Jota v. Patterson duel on that wing. The ex-Rangers player was mouthy ahead of the game and clearly wants to get one over on Celtic today. A top performance from our superstar from Portugal is what is required and the temperatures will suit him better, it’s currently over 80 degrees in Sydney.
The huge Celtic Support at the game is bound to give Patterson a special reception.
It’s less than an hour to kick-off and it’s the last Celtic first team game until mid December when we return to Scottish Premiership action at Pittodrie, looking or more favours from VAR which are the only reason we’ve managed to open up a none points lead over Patterson’s old club.
To be fair to Patterson though he couldn’t get away from there quick enough could he?
