Fabrizio Romano drops ‘crucial’ update on Celtic transfers

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the next few weeks at Paradise could be ‘crucial’ as the transfer window closes.

It’s been a busy summer for Brendan Rodgers. With the transfer window still in full swing, more moves will likely occur before the window shuts at the beginning of September. Many moves have already been pushed through with the recent addition of the centre-back, Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw for £4.3 million and midfielder, Odin Thiago Holm from Valerenga for £2.6 million.

Also, subject to international clearance, Gustaf Lagerbielke made his move to Celtic for a 5-year deal. Concurrently, Jota left the Hoops for Al Ittihad for the hefty sum of £25 million while Carl Starfelt made his exit in favour of Celta Vigo for £4 million.

Fabrizio Romano has warned Celtic that since the recent departure of these players, it’s crucial for Celtic to maintain the players in their squad as the transfer window gets closer to closing.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Romano said…

“The next few days and weeks are going to be important for Celtic to keep their players at the club. This is crucial, and they know that after the Starfelt deal with Celta Vigo, it’s important for them to keep the players at the club, and then we will see the next moves at the end of the window.”
