Former Celt loanee set for Holland move

DANIEL ARZANI appears set to re-launch his career with a move to the Netherlands. The Australian failed to make an impact during his two year loan with the Scottish Champions and now it appears that he will sign for an unnamed Eredivisie side.

Australian media outlet The World Game is reporting that Arzani will join on loan from Manchester City on loan in the coming days as he looks to regain the form that took him to City.

After being one of the standout young players at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Celtic were linked with signing the youngster. However, it became clear that he would be joining Manchester City and soon after Celtic were being touted as his next port of call. Arzani arrived amid an apparent spat between Brendan Rodgers and the board; however a poor start to the season delayed his debut until Halloween at Dens Park. Arzani came on with Celtic 5-0, had a chance to score, created a chance and then slipped unchallenged.

It would be a season ending injury for Arzani, which ruled him out for over 12 months. Arzani’s progress faltered with that injury at Dens and he has failed to recover from it, having to settle for youth team appearances and one Scottish Cup appearance.
